Offshore wind power plants
Gulf of Mexico, US

Gulf of Mexico projects consists in offshore decarbonization utilizing cost-effective, proven technology solutions. The initial target is the partial decarbonization of existing oil and gas deep water production platforms in the Gulf of Mexico.
The applied technology will consist of multiple floating offshore wind turbines deployed within the defined parameters of existing US Federal issued oil and gas mineral leases, which will be modified to allow for remote power generation on active lease blocks. Gulf of Mexico oil and gas production platforms currently use natural gas fueled turbine generators as their sole source of electric power. The existing power sources onboard the oil and gas production facilities will remain and be used to address wind power’s inherent intermittency.
Project development team is a comprehensive group of experienced professionals who have worked, or currently work, in the construction of both SPAR hulls, which were invented in the United States and first applied in the Gulf of Mexico, as well as other floating oil and gas production operations. Offshore wind farm developers, accomplished construction specialists focused on deep water oil and gas development, and turbine rotor design innovators in worldwide locations are among the select team.
